Yetminster Sports’ three match unbeaten run came to an end with a 5-2 defeat at Thorncombe. Due to unavailability, Sports were forced to field several players in unfamiliar positions and as a result looked very disjointed. It therefore came as a surprise when Josh Tandy picked the ball up 35 yards out and chipped the goalkeeper to give Yetminster the lead.

The lead was short lived as soon after a through ball caught the defence flat-footed allowing the Thorncombe centre forward to run through and score. This was repeated with an identical goal minutes later and a third came when a far post cross was headed home.

The second half was not much better as Yetminster gave away possession far too easily, conceding a further two goals. Yetminster's second came when Dylan Hobloni nodded home a cross to score his first goal for the club.

MOTM was shared between Jack Bateman and Tom Board ⚽️

DOTD was also shared with Josh Edmunds, Pete Ellingham and Tom Board. Josh Edmunds got himself on the score sheet finally! However, he must of left his glasses at home as he put it in his own net.
